Driver in hit-and-run crash loses control during wintry weather in Kettering

Crews responded to a two-car hit-and-run crash Sunday night in Kettering.

The crash happened at 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of Stroop Road and Far Hills Avenue.

The driver of a red 2008 Hyundai Elantra that skidded into the intersection following the collision walked away before police and medics arrived. He was last seen headed east on Stroop Road.

The driver, identified as a 23-year-old Dayton man, was was headed north on Far Hills Avenue when he lost control and went left of center, striking a 2006 gray Toyota Corolla that was making a right turn, according to a Kettering Police Department crash report.

The driver of the Toyota, an 18-year-old from Miami Twp., and her passenger, a 16-year-old Miami Twp. girl, suffered minor injuries. An 18-year-old Miami Twp. man
